My Family
I have served as a preschool director/teacher in a NAEYC accredited preschool for nineteen years. Before that I taught elementary school children and adults in Dallas, Milwaukee, and Maine. I earned my Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in May, 2013. As an adjunct professor I continue to grow and develop professionally as I reflect on my teaching, research effective practices in education, and find ways to contribute to the university and the local community.
I think we are truly alive when we are learning something new, engaging in challenges, improving our practice.
I treasure the time I spend with my children, and the children and pre-service teachers I teach. I came across a quote that I believe is so true “While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.” Anonymous
I am passionate about improving education for children, running, biking, and spending time with my family.
